Waves Skill Development
Waves offers skill development which is an essential way to progress in your swimming career.
As swimming faster is all about swimming more efficiently and effectively and this can be achieved through the use of good technique and excellent skills.
Individual stroke sessions are an intense way of looking at a particular stroke that the swimmer feels they need extra tuition in or just may wish to perfect. All aspects of the selected stroke will be covered in the session, including body position, kick, pull, breathing and timing.
In addition to this we also offer skills sessions that purely focus upon turns, starts and finishes. This ensures each swimmer gets the most from each skill development session and not rushing from one part to another. Our coaching team have immense knowledge in this field and offer the best advice and information keeping in line with the ASA laws and guide lines.
Our poolside team has gained vast experience and knowledge over their years of involvement in the sport and have a proven track record of swimmers achieving highly at national championships over several years.
Due to the nature of the lessons and also ensuring our swimmers gain the most out of each skill sessions as possible we limit the session size to 12 swimmers. This enables the coaching team to pay more attention to each individual swimmer giving them constant individual guidance and feedback.
The 1 or 2 hour session will be taken by a fully qualified coach who will give feedback through out the session as well as a personal feedback sheet awarded to each swimmer on completion of the session.
